At present, as the most important growth market for global robots, China has gradually become the world's largest robot market. According to data released by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), the number of industrial robots in the world reached 1.828 million units in 2016 and is expected to increase significantly to 3.053 million units by 2020. From the perspective of national (regional) distribution, China is the world's largest industrial robot retention country. It is expected that by 2020, the number of industrial robots in China will reach 950,300. At the same time, the number of industrial robots in Asia will increase to 1.9 million by 2020, which is roughly equal to the number of global robots in 2016. According to IFR's analysis of economic data and forecasts, the demand for factory automation is using robots to increase productivity and create new jobs. In the future, the development of the robotics industry in Japan must adjust the education and training system so that workers can enjoy the benefits of robots in the future.

Sales of industrial robots in the world's major countries (regions) Data from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) show that in 2016, the global sales of industrial robots totaled 294,000 units. Among them, the top three countries are China (87,000), South Korea (41,400) and Japan (38,600). Among them, China's industrial robot sales account for about 30% of the global total sales, China has undoubtedly become the engine of global industrial robot market growth. South Korea, in second place, saw a surge in sales as the electronics industry invested heavily in the use of robots. According to the "2017 Global Robot Statistics" released by IFR, the number of robots in South Korea's manufacturing industry reached 630 units, ranking first in the world. At the same time, this is the main reason why South Korea has become the "dominant" in the LCD and memory industry. According to statistics, Japan's robot sales in 2016 increased by 10% year-on-year, hitting a new record high.
